Folkets Fabrik / The People's Factory

The People's Factory tells the transformation story of Maltfabrikken in Ebeltoft from an industrial heritage site to a modern cultural center. The book draws on a diverse set of threads, from the dilapidated facades of the factory buildings, to the efforts of community enthusiasts, and ultimately to the architecturally successful transformation led by Praksis Architects. The publication makes use of a wide range of materials, including photographic documentation of the factory's transformation, historical materials, interviews with key stakeholders and essays to unfold the story of the Malt Factory and its evolution. The photographic works of Jens Lindhe convey the materials, spatial experiences, and architectural features of the site, illustrating the spaces in between and the many small details that are just as important as the whole.
